In The Name Of god

I know I've posted this poem before, but I think it's worth repeating.

In The Name Of god
An Apocalyptic battle, a Holy War waged
against the very minions of Satan
that’s what the Jesus Freaks say.

Whispers of murder, atrocities committed
in the name of a god that’s untrue
while the preacher man screams
“Jesus hates fags! Send all those bastards to Hell!”

Counting their riches, the gas prices soar
our soldiers they’re killing, the masses to ignore
a mission unaccomplished, the rights that they’ve denied
to ‘traitors’ denouncing conquest and a country occupied.

Blinded by faith, the stupid sheep follow
their Messiah sent to conquer and kill,
a trail of blood leading to oil,
as all sing praises to the Lord God of Israel.
