An Unwanted Guest
Apparently Karma, our cat, brought in the shrew that lives above our deck late last night and the kids couldn't catch it, so it is still somewhere in my house. And the cats think it is outside so they are either outside waiting for it to come back, or meowing at the door so we will let them out so they can stare up at the brick in which it lives. So, now I have to find a way to trap it, alive, and set it free again. I did manage to catch it in a cup, at two in the morning the other day, and put it back on the deck, but the cats just won't quit bringing it back into the house and the kids keep forgetting to check them for shrews before they let them in. You'd think the shrew would be smart enough not to come back down to my deck after being caught fifty times already. Not to mention that my cats killed the last shrew that happened upon my deck.
In other news, school starts up again next week and I am anxiously awaiting my student loan money so I can buy a new computer before this one craps out. Clever Girl Assassin and my mother both say I should get an E Machine desktop. My bf thinks I should get a Dell laptop. I don't know which one I should get. Any words of advice from anyone in cyberspace?
